Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide Quality Woodworking, Engraving, and ceramics while teaching students about business.
Grizz Biz's mission is to provide an environment inside of school where students experience having a real job that they get paid to do. To get into the program, the students have to do everything like they would have to do in a real job. The students are first interviewed by the current employees. They also have to turn in a resume with all of their qualifications for the job. The different positions are in the bookkeeping department, which keeps track of all of the money that goes in and out of the business. The production department which produces all of our product. We also have our Laser department who laser everything with our logo and even do custom orders. All of the departments need to work together to keep everything running smoothly. If a laser is down due to a breakdown, bookkeeping has to let customers know that their order may take longer than expected.
A unique thing about Grizz Biz is that the oldest person in both is only 14 years old. This means that we are always changing and adapting to what people want and need. We also provides exciting opportunities like meeting the governor or the senators of Montana. Grizz Biz can also give students a headstart when they come to finding their first job. When applying for their first job students can put on their application that they worked for Grizz Biz . This gives students a step up because business owners are more likely to hire someone who is experienced than someone who is not.
